Performance:
The Yamaha FJR1300 on the Staintune in-house Dyno managed to achieve a horsepower gain of 5 Hp over the standard exhaust system. That is just with the pipes and no engine modifications. On road test there was a real gain in the bike's throttle response which was apparent throughout the mid range.

Weight savings:
There is a 2Kg weight saving over standard when fitting the Staintune.

The sound:
The sound is a much throatier note than the quiet standard system (or the sewing machine as it's known). It's a quite pleasant note, even better with the restrictors out.

Restrictors in: 92 dba @ 4000 rpm ADR Compliant - YES its legal
Restrictors out: 96 dba @ 4000 rpm

Finish:
Have a look for yourself; they look magnificent on this popular sports tourer. The look of the twin oval mufflers is far superior to that of the bulky and unattractive standard system. The Staintune's will last you for the life of the bike and to keep them like new all you need is a little Staintune Liquid Mirror finish.
