"Couples" Riding Seminar

June 17, 2011 at CALmoto

Presented by Michael and Anya Meissner

My wife LOVES motorcycling! While she is not yet ready to venture out and ride her own bike, she's always up for a ride. This was not always so. Truth is, like most riders, I didn't know or understand what makes a passenger comfortable on a bike, so I did a lot of things wrong. This only reinforced my wife's opinion that motorcycling was a dangerous and risky sport. Luckily with a lot of persistence, patience and understanding (not to mention checking my ego at the door) she finally gained trust in me as a rider and she became a much better passenger. Of course, the obvious upside of all of this is that she really "gets" what motorcycling is about now and is an encouraging partner in my love of the sport. Riding on a motorcycle with a willing friend is one of the most fun things you can do and it can be an even more enjoyable experience if the passenger understands what we (as riders) need from them and what they (as passengers) need from us.

So join us on Friday, June 17th at 7pm at CALmoto, as Anya and I share our experience and more than a few helpful hints on how to make riding with your significant other a better experience for both of you. Who knows? It might even open up a whole new world of touring and day trips for you. Even better yet, join Anya and I on this year's "Tree Tour" to practice what you have learned!

Hope to see you there and please RSVP to mike@calmoto.com.
